Sven stopped by in the early afternoon to help assemble the largest hexagon structure, bringing his tools and carpentry skills to knock out a major part of the build. This structure stands just shy of 2.2m tall. We then spent the afternoon putting down some primer and the first coat of paint on the next three hexagon frames and corner braces. In the end we ran out of time to finish the cutting. A couple of people came to help out with the laying out of the pattern and cutting. The braces were cut from plywood, and the edges were cut from some framing lumber. We managed to get the first one completely built and installed a strip of lights from an earlier pathfinder version. Amy spent the next couple of days laying down primer and painting the frame with a nice glittery effect.
